Castle Cary Community Library

I was honoured to offer the first event for children at the newly formed Castle Cary Community Library. It was great to read all three books and also talk about the importance of reading. Everyone had a go at reading to others and we had a great time. This was the launch event of First Reading, which is my approach to encourage reading using my Jasper and Milo books. I am keen to take this approach to other venues where the child and supporter can both practice their reading in a safe and supportive environment.

North Somerset Show

Jasper and Milo had a great day at the North Somerset Show on Bank Holiday Monday 6^th May 2019. The weather was good and there were thousands of people enjoying the event. It was great to meet people and introduce them to my books and the importance of reading.

Castle Cary Community Library

I have been very pleased to be involved in helping to save Castle Cary Library from closure. Please see the attached press release below:

Following a consultation process, Somerset County Council is supporting the newly formed Friends of Castle Cary Community Library to transfer services from spring 2019. The project has gained great support from the local communities, Town and Parish Councils and is hoping to further develop current services to meet expressed need. Jasper and Milo are fully supporting the development of Castle Cary Community Library and I shall be offering readings etc to help widen the range of services and outreach; especially to local pre- schools and schools.
